Chef and Owner Dianne Walton-St.Francis purchased the Plymouth Hotel in January 1995. Her background is varied, having worked as a Playboy Bunny for several years, then because of her love for the Culinary Arts started a Catering Service in Danville, CA in the late Seventies. That led to going to the Great Chef's of France Cooking School in Napa Valley, tutored by Simone Beck at that time. Dianne became acquainted with the Mondavi family and eventually worked as a Winery Rep for the Robert Mondavi Winery and did private catering for the family.

Many trips to Italy over the years have given Dianne a sense of her famly's culture and a good sampling of authentic Italian Cuisine, which she strives to preserve. "The casual and 'non rushed' way in which the Italian people enjoy their meals, is what we try to encourage here. This is not an eat and dash type of place. We are not looking to turn tables quickly - we want you to relax, enjoy, and take your time."

Dianne's initial interest in cooking started at a young age - gleaned from her Italian Mother - who was a renowned cook in her own right. "Mom always let me help in the kitchen and has always been my inspiration. She would have loved this."

We strive to give our customers an enjoyable time spent with us - whether you are dining or just stopping in for cocktails. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
